Graham Hickman
Started his career in photography in 1981 when the temperature
in Ironbridge Gorge droped to -25C and the River Severn began
to freeze over.
Living next to the "iron-bridge" Graham began to capture
the beauty of the ice flows on the river below and soon the results
of his pictures became known to local galleries and also galleries
abroad.
With the increased interest shown for his pictures he took advantage
of every opportunity to capture the moods of the surroundings
through all weathers and seasons both Day and Night.
The images captured can be seen at Maws Galleries in Telford,
Jackfield, and Bridgnorth, they have been used on Jigsaw Puzzles
and Tableware, and are also featured on the back of an international
coach firms vehicles (Elcock Reisen).
The transport theme continues as a picture of the Ironbridge taken
from a photograph in Graham's collection is also included on a
model Corgi Classic Coach (137).
Photographs have been published in many magazines including the
"Heavy Horse World Magazine", an international publication,
and there is also a private gallery in Mid-Wales solely dedicated
to Graham's works.
Since the
success in his landscape photography, Graham has diversified to
include Wedding Photography and Portraitures choosing to use natural
surroundings in preference to studio work.
Graham was
recently commissioned to provide five 60" x 40" Black
& White prints of Shropshire Scenes for the new "Whitehouse
Hotel" at the New Telfod Football Ground.
Graham is
also available to shoot Social or Industrial scenes wherever requested.
